shaping your future.

Consortio can help explain what recruiters expect

The skills, experience and attitude that you take into the job market will directly shape how successful you will be - that is increasingly the reality for those starting out on their career or looking to change direction.

Increased competition means that you need to create an advantage for yourself in the careers market at the same time as studying and developing your academic credentials. Not easy, of course, but it is possible with the right thought, support and application.

Whether you work with us through your school, college or uni or attend one of our open courses you can rely on us to fill in the gaps, answer the questions and provide the information that you need to start your career well.

We specialise in bridging the gap between education and employment with practical workshops, commercially informed graduate assessment centre days and focused employability skills events. Educators that take employability seriously 'get' what we do and parents that see the value of helping their child to achieve the edge in the careers market support all our initiatives.

Our Open Courses for individuals can be booked on our Events page and we're happy to discuss organising Closed Events with all Careers Advisor's / Employability Specialists working in education.

Our Career Boot Camps this summer will also help if you are leaving school / college / uni this year!

defining employability...
...is surprisingly simple;

Don't get a nasty surprise in an interview - Consortio can help!
We know that it is crucially important to show potential  employers that you have the skills, personality and knowledge to do the job that you have applied for.

Getting noticed isn't just about showing them your certificates and certainly not about talking in clichés about your 'team skills', 'ability to work under pressure' and your 'passion' for whatever it is that they do. They've heard that all before; many, many times.....

For us employability is about showing employers through your application letter, CV and interview performance that you understand what they want and can explain that what you have done in the past and who you are makes you the perfect candidate.
Simple!

great results.......

I wanted to update you on my recent job offer from Warner Brothers (HBO New York) there were over 8000 applicants for the role and I got it! I honestly believe that without Consortio's specialist help and advice that I would not have secured the position.

The advice from the Consortio team allowed me to understand  Graduate Assessment Centres; their guidance and experience showed me what I could expect and how I could communicate the correct messages. Their support ultimately allowed me to be successful in several recruitment processes.

Two weeks after the mock interview with Consortio,  I had a placement interview with GlaxoSmithKline and I got the job and they told me that I was the best on the day!

recommended!

We have just completed our third year of Mock Assessment Centres with Consortio.

The outcome has been excellent student feedback has unanimously indicated that this has been a highly beneficial experience.

Subsequently, the work with Consortio has  been influential in developing our students’approach to applications and real company interviews. Highly recommended!
